If you are looking for documentary style family photos - I am YOUR GIRL.
I am obsessed with in home sessions. I love all of those tiny in between moments that make families unique. I focus on every tiny detail to tell a complete story of what your family is like. These are incredibly fun sessions and I'd love to get to know your family and figure out the best location/theme for your photos.
If your family loves to hike, let's go hiking. If your family loves to bake at home on the weekend, invite me over and I'll document that. Let's chat together and create a unique vision together. We can have fun with this session.
Family sessions don't have to be stiff and stressful.
I incorporate lots of movement and play in my sessions.
We don't want to prompt your children to smile every five seconds. Let's just have fun with them and get them playing. The genuine smiles will come naturally.
I know family sessions involve a lot of upfront work. I've got kids, I know the drill. Making sure everyone is fed and bathed and in good moods and have slept well and and and and.... it's a lot. I can totally appreciate the stress or overwhelm that can happen when you start imagining having your photos done. Let's just agree to ditch all of that right now, can we? You want photos that document this time in your life. Let your children wear what they are comfortable wearing. Let them have snacks during our session. Let them run around and play. I loooove to get down to your child's level and play. They know right away that I am a friend and they warm up really quickly. I have lots of resources and tips for making these sessions run smoothly - just ask!

Taryn was such a pleasure to work with and have in our home. Her energy and kindness was so appreciated and kept us at ease, making a stressful time (photoshoot with a baby) quite easy! And she so kindly accommodated my timing needs as well as my request for a “split” session of some more posed shots for family and then an in-home session for my own favorite type of photos. I will forever cherish having this moment in time captured, 1 week prior to my baby turning 1. I know she’s known for weddings and such, but try booking just a family shoot too, you won’t regret it! I was blown away by the sneak peeks and then she delivered even more amazing pics when the full gallery was released (so quickly too!).
