This intimate Oregon Coast wedding will make you reconsider all of your wedding plans

If you’re currently planning your own wedding, you might be considering a large guest count and an exuberant party. This intimate Oregon Coast wedding will make you reconsider all of it. This elopement was perfect in every way. Close family, beautiful location(s), quiet and undisturbed connection, and a cozy meal at the Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa to celebrate with family.

Snapshot

Let’s start with a snapshot of the day and then breakdown the sweet details together.

Details

We started this intimate Oregon Coast wedding at Meena Lodge in Oceanside, Oregon. If you haven’t heard of Meena Lodge, pause right now and go check it out. It is such a unique and beautiful spot. Every detail of this place was thoughtfully implemented and it’s truly a dreamy modern space at the Coast.

Julie and her daughter spent the morning quietly getting ready together at Meena. The energy was calm and peaceful as they got their hair and makeup done from the best, Alyssa Underwood. In the other room of the house, Greg was getting ready with his boys. Quick side note – having your own kids involved throughout your wedding days is one of the most special and memorable experiences.

First Look for this intimate Oregon Coast Wedding

We chose to do the first look at Meena because A. It’s beautiful and B. Julie and Greg wanted to prioritize ease and peace of mind for the day. We kept things simple and chose not to add unnecessary driving or arranging when it wasn’t necessary. Julie and Greg shared intimate vows with each other privately. It’s one of my favorite things for couples to do, regardless of the type of wedding they are having.

Cape Meares wedding ceremony

After our morning at Meena, we headed to Cape Meares for their ceremony. It was short and sweet while filled with intention. This marriage was the start of a new blended family, so Julie and Greg chose to involve their children in their ceremony. The sweetest way to start your marriage and new family.

Bridal Portraits

We took a few portraits at Cape Meares (bc hello it’s beautiful) and then headed to their next destination, Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa. HIGHLY recommend you pause, again, and check this place out. It’s gorgeous and the views are insane.

Lastly, we finished this day with a cozy dinner at the Headlands. The ambiance was spot on after a chilly, foggy elopement. The fireplace and large windows made the room both warm and bright. I loved the personal attention the staff was able to give each guest. This is one of the many perks of opting for an intimate micro wedding.
