Josh and Raquels Hood River, Oregon Wedding
Let me introduce you to one of my absolute favorite weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Not only were Josh and Raquel so wonderful to work with, their venue is one of my all time faves. Mt Hood Organic Farms in Hood River is an actual dream. You’ll see why in their wedding photos below.
There were equal parts romance and fun at this gorgeous wedding and I’m always so happy to spend time in Hood River. Josh and Raquel made sure to add so many personal and unique touches to their wedding day and it all added to the magic of the day. Between the surprise scroll that Josh pulled out during the ceremony, the father-daughter first look, and the Dippin Dots as dessert – it’s hard to pick a favorite moment.
Ok, wait. I think I do have a favorite moment, because watching Raquel and her dad during heir first dance gave me absolute joy. They were twirling and laughing and just having the best time together. I always get emotional during first dances and this one was no exception.
Mt Hood Organic Farms (their wedding venue) is one of my faveeeee venues to work at. I know Hood River has so many incredible venues to choose from, but hear me out!! First off, it’s gorgeous. Beautiful landscaping surround the venue making it feel like you’re in a beautiful secret garden. The Reception space is filled with funky character like colorful tile, intricate woodwork, and patterned floors. The getting ready spaces are cheerful and bright – a photographers dream. Along with all of the actual buildings, the location itself is amazing. You get stunning mountain views, beautiful flowers, and giant trees. Honestly, what more could you want?
